2027: Oyo APC Chieftain, Omidiji, Donates Bus to Boost Grassroots Mobilisation

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and a prominent youth mobilizer, Hon. Ponmile Omidiji, has donated a brand-new bus to Ponmile Progressive Mobilization to strengthen its operations across the state.

Omidiji, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agbele Sporting Club and Chairman of Ponmile Progressive Movement, said the donation was to enhance grassroots engagement and organisational outreach ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the vehicle would facilitate movement of members and support the group’s activities across local government areas in the state.

Ponmile Progressive Mobilization, which operates under the motto “Mobilizing for All Progressives Congress,” is a subsidiary of Ponmile Progressive Movement.

The group said it is focused on reaching communities, strengthening engagement and promoting awareness of the APC’s programmes and agenda ahead of 2027 and beyond.

According to the organisation, the bus will improve its logistical capacity and enable wider outreach across the state’s political landscape.

Omidiji is a former National Financial Secretary of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and a former Supervisor at the local government level during the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

He also served as Deputy Youth Leader of the Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council during the 2023 election cycle.

The organisation said the donation represents a practical investment in its operational capacity and ability to coordinate activities statewide.

It added that the vehicle would be deployed to support outreach, strengthen internal coordination and expand its presence across communities as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 polls.
