Dr. Kunle Samson Adegbite, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, will today, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, flag off a Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme in Ogbomoso.
The empowerment initiative, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Baptist Secondary Grammar School, Ahoyaya, Ogbomoso, is aimed at equipping youths and other residents with practical skills and opportunities for economic empowerment and self-reliance.
The programme is expected to attract youths, aspiring entrepreneurs, community members and other residents interested in acquiring skills and exploring opportunities for personal and economic development.
Adegbite, a philanthropist who is also the founder of Twindad foundation said the initiative reflects his commitment to investing in people and promoting sustainable community development.
According to him, empowering people with practical skills can help improve livelihoods, encourage entrepreneurship and create opportunities for individuals to become economically independent.
The NDC candidate said the programme is part of his broader commitment to people-oriented development, stressing the importance of initiatives that directly improve the lives of constituents.
The event is expected to further stimulate conversations around youth empowerment, skills development and economic opportunities within the Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency.
