Oriire Rescue: Jubril Dotun Sanusi Commends Tinubu, Makinde, Security Agencies

The Okanlomo Oódua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief (Engr.) Dr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, security agencies, traditional institutions, and Nigerians for their roles in the successful rescue of the students and teachers abducted from Islamic High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In a statement issued on Friday, Sanusi described the rescue as a demonstration of purposeful leadership, effective collaboration, and the commitment of all stakeholders to protecting the lives of Nigerians.

He said the successful operation underscored the importance of unity, intelligence gathering, and coordinated security efforts in tackling the country’s security challenges.

Sanusi expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his commitment to the safety and security of Nigerians, noting that the President’s leadership and support for security operations have continued to inspire confidence and hope across the nation.

He also commended Governor Makinde for prioritising security in Oyo State, praising his collaboration with the Federal Government and sustained engagement with security agencies in addressing insecurity.

The Ibadan chief further lauded the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security agencies for their courage, professionalism, resilience, and sacrifices in securing the release of the victims.

Sanusi equally acknowledged the contributions of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, traditional rulers across Oyo State, religious leaders, community leaders, local hunters, vigilante groups, and volunteer security outfits for supporting the rescue efforts through prayers, intelligence gathering, vigilance, and grassroots mobilisation.

He also appreciated Nigerians who stood by the families of the abducted pupils and teachers through prayers, encouragement, and other acts of compassion during the period of uncertainty.

According to him, the solidarity shown by Nigerians reflects the resilience, unity, and compassion that define the country’s spirit.

Sanusi prayed for continued peace and security across Nigeria, asking God to grant wisdom and strength to President Tinubu and other leaders, protect security personnel, preserve the nation’s traditional institutions, and bless Oyo State and the country with lasting unity and prosperity.
