All Progressives Congress (APC) will witness a mass exodus from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in few days time.

The arrangement meeting towards the crossover of key leaders and members of PDP in the council area to the ruling party, APC, began recently as the former council chairman, Hon. Azeez Idowu, led former political functionaries and party leaders into a closed door meeting with the current caretaker chairman, Hon. Adeniyi Adeagbo.

Hon. Azeez served as caretaker chairman before he was duly elected in 2007 during the reign of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala. Also present were some local executive members of APC.

“The imminent defection of the PDP members into APC is as a result of a strong bond that now exists between the former governor Alao-Akala and the leader of APC in Oyo State, Governor Abiola Ajimobi. Now that Otunba Akala is now in APC, all his followers across the 33 LGAs have been moving to APC” Hon. Adeagbo said.
