Engineer Rauf  Aderemi Olaniyan, a Civil Engineer, Farmer and Philantrophist per excellence is  the former General Manager of Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency(OYSTROMA) He  left Accord party to Join APC few months ago and he his aspiring to be the next governor of Oyo state.

He was born into a poor family in Igboho, his father was a farmer while his mother was a trader (alajapa).

He  left secondary school six weeks after resumption because his  parent could not afford to pay.

Olaniyan  was a professional bricklayer and his experience during training encourage him to  study civil Engineering at University of Nigeria Nzuka.

He returned to modern school with money he saved from bricklaying jobs and other menial jobs and his education was more or less a self sponsored.

While at the University he do come home at the end of every semester to cut jobs at NTC and other menial jobs to sustain him for the next semester.

He was given an automatic employment after service but he rejected the offer because of his passion for his people and Oyo state  at large.

He was instrumental to the construction of Dam in Igboho a project which he got through savings from other Dam projects in Oke Ogun  by world bank.

Olaniyan  served with  10  military  and civilian governor and he enjoyed the confidence of his bosses while in office.

He is a farmer, he owns one of the largest cotton farm in Nigeria.

He is aspiring to be governor of Oyo state IN 2019.
