Nigerian defender, Zaidu Sanusi market value has increased after winning the double with his Portuguese club, Porto FC
Sanusi, who joined Porto from Santa Clara two years ago, further established himself as the number one left-back at the club in the just concluded 2021/22 campaign.
The Nigerian’s value has been experiencing a steady rise. In March this year, he was valued at €8 million; a €2 million increase from December 27, 2021.
Sanusi is currently valued at €10 million, meaning that his suitors must be ready to cough out the amount or more, depending on how much value Porto will place on him, if they are ready to sell him in the summer.
The Super Eagles defender had a fantastic campaign, helping his club with the league title in Portugal. He made 24 appearances for them in the Liga Portugal and also contributed three goals, including his late effort that sealed the 30th title for Porto in a 1-0 win over rivals Benfica, as they reclaim the title from Sporting Lisbon.
In total, Sanusi made 40 appearances for the club in the just concluded season, including featuring in all the six matches his side played in the UEFA Champions League.
His contribution was also invaluable in the final of the Portuguese Cup, which Porto won 3-1 over Tondela to cap a glorious season for the 24-year-old. The podium finish sealed a double for him and his club.
