Oyo State Police Command has said it has designed a security master plan to further reduce crime rate during this period.
It also remind the public that the ban on use and sale of explosive fireworks in the state is still in force.
In a statement signed by its PPRO SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, effective plans have been put in place to police all entry and exit points, and other parts of the state through aggressive stop and search, motorized patrol, and intelligence-led raid of black spots.
The release said further that “The Command has also mapped out strategies to protect places of worship, recreation centres, financial institutions and other public facilities.”
“Residents of the state are, therefore, urged to go about their legitimate businesses, and have wonderful celebrations as the police would leave no stone unturned to make the festive seasons very peaceful.
