Former First Lady of Lagos State, Sen. Fatimat Raji-Rasaki has extolled, Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her patriotism and commitment for the unity of the country, particularly in the area of empowerment and deepening the course of democracy.
An elated Senator Rasaki said, naming the newly constructed 2.7km road in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, after Senator Oluremi Tinubu was borne out of appreciating one of the greatest Alma mater of the institution for her immense contributions to the society selflessly.
She applauded the Institution for the recognition, saying, erecting a golden statue to immortalise Sen. Oluremi Tinubu virtuousness and to showcase the passion, strength of a mentor, a mother and wife speak volumes of her industrious nature.
Sen. Rasaki continued, “I appreciate your steadfastness and good legacies of giving back to the less privileged and vulnerable in our society. The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife also acknowledged your contribution and they are proud of you. Singular reason, the Institution built a state of the art hostel whose dynamic pavilion reflects your progressive nature.
“Affirming your philanthropic act is the willingly donation of the sum of N1 billion to OAU Ile-Ife in Osun State through your Renewed Hope Initiative for enhancement of horticulture and infrastructure development of the institution. Your Excellency Ma, this is commendable.” Sen. Rasaki said.
