Sunday August 12 2017, marked another epoch making event in Yoruba community in Accra,Ghana with the official coronation of Oba Hamza Brimah 11 as the king of yoruba in Ghana
Oba Hamzat was crowned by GA mandate, the Lord of Accra.
The cultural event was attended by top dignitaries from all walks of life including, Nigeria High commission to Ghana, members of the Diplomatic corps, President of the Zongo chiefs, traditional rulers from all the ten regions of Ghana among others.
The new king is succeeding Barrister Bashiru Brimah who died in November 2016.
In his remark, Brimah, appreciated the Yoruba community in Ghana for their support and love and promise to ensure harmonious coexistence and unity continue to reign among them.
He emphasized on the need to promote Yoruba culture and tradition and pledges his total support for any cultural event that will further boost the promotion of Yoruba culture.
The monarch also assures the Ghanians of cooperation and supporting the growth and advancement of the country.
Traditional dancers and drummer thrilled guests at the events with electrifying performances at the event.
