Yeye Bobajiro Oodua, Yeye (Dr) Afolashade Shona-Aluko, has once again congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on his 10th Coronation Anniversary on the throne of his forefathers, and launching of Ojaja University, Ile Ife Campus, Osun State.
Yeye Shona-Aluko who was installed as Yeye Bobajiro Oodua by the Ooni of Ife for her contributions including human capacity development and women empowerment on October 19, 2025, commended the Arole Oduduwa for his unprecedented achievements across the Yorubaland and beyond since his ascendancy to the throne over a decade ago.
The Philanthropist and Entrepreneur described the 51st Ooni as a lover of peace, whose socio-economic development and empowerment programmes could not be overemphasised, coupled with his efforts of uniting the traditional council for nation’s growth and development.
In her words “Baba mi, I celebrate you today and always Kabiyesi sir, the milestones recorded within 10years are testaments to your vision and mission of making Yoruba race proud. I pray for your good health, sound mind, long life and prosperity as you continue to reign with dignity, integrity, love and dedication with a view to accomplishing your vision of making ife to remain the pride of all Yoruba race and symbol of peace and unity of the entire Country”.
The National Matron of Association of Female Artisans Worldwide, AOFAW, said, Oba Ogunwusi’s reign has reaffirmed him as a Custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition, adding that he is a father who always puts God first in all his doings and unites his subjects.
” Kabiyesi, with your achievements, including the establishment of Ojaja University, you have shown the World that you have good mission to add values to the Society, not only Ile Ife, but the World at large. Therefore, I am happy to be part of the history you are writing, having considered and installed me as Yeye Bobajiro Oodua, which I will never take for granted”
Yeye Afolashade Shona-Aluko used the occasion to reaffirm her commitment to promoting Yoruba culture, leading by example and ensuring that the less privileged in the society also have reasons to smile and be relevant.
Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi was born into Giesi Ruling House, Ojaja Royal Compound, Ile-Ife, and was coronated on 7th December, 2015 after being Crowned, promising youth development, qualitative education, agricultural projects, creation of job opportunities for the teeming youths.
