The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will launch the Generation Unlimited initiative, a global multisector partnership aimed at supporting the over 1.8 billion youth globally with relevant and future-proof skills.
The event will hold on Monday 26th July at Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja
Generation Unlimited (GenU) in Nigeria aims to attract investments at global and national levels to develop effective programmes which will achieve results for 20 million young Nigerians by 2030 through education, employment, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.
The GenU initiative runs in numerous countries around the world including Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, Niger, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Kenya to mention a few. Partners and supporters in Nigeria are – the Office of the Vice President, UNICEF, The Tony Elumelu Foundation, ILO, World Bank, GIZ, USAID, Airtel, Jobberman, Unilever, AfDB and UNDP.
Dignitaries expected to grace the ocassion includes, Lagos state governor – Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Kano state governor – Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, Mr Tony Elumelu – Chair, Tony Elumelu Foundation, Peter Hawkins – UNICEF Representative and others.
