The chairman Ogbomoso United Football Football Club, Hon Akinwale S Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle on Sunday presented new kits for home and away matches of the club.
The 2024 season kits was unveiled at Maracana Stadium, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Sport Complex on Sunday after which a friendly match was played with Crown FC Ogbomoso
Also, Bashorun Akinwale presented prizes to winners of Wolekanle inter primary school football competition Ogbomoso zone
Ogbomoso North team defeated Ogo Oluwa to clinch the cup and star prizes while consolation prizes and award were also given to other local governments that featured in the competition and exceptional players.
Wolekanle as he is foundly called said he was impressed by the performances of the new set of players recruited into the club.
Akinwale while charging the players after 1-0 friendly victory with Crown FC Ogbomoso said “I am happy that half of players that played against you today including the goalkeeper were some of the talents we discovered and developed in Ogbomoso United.
“Some of them have even gone beyond crown FC and today i am happy that we are not lagging behind, i want to urge you to continue to ensure team spirit, work together and always aim high in combating any challenger either in the game of soccer or in real life because you determination to win is a key factor in any competition”.
Fans of Ogbomoso United commended the Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain for his unrelenting efforts in making Ogbomoso United FC one of the best among the privately owned team in this part of the country.
