Peoples Democratic Party Candidate in Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole has said he would place premium on community engagement and politics of inclusion if elected
Akinwole while speaking with group of supporters in Ogbomoso at the weekend said the constituents will be properly consulted before any decision bothering on development is taking on their behalf as a lawmaker.
The Ogbomoso born young PDP Chieftain said ‘people need to be given the exact thing they need at a point in time and not what i feel they needed which may not be their priority.
“I am going there as the voice and eyes of the people of Oyo North and they need to have input in whatever i am going to present at the National Assembly, it may not be easy to meet everybody but key stakeholders will be contacted to discuss the needs of the people.
” A lot of projects especially buildings facilitated by Federal lawmakers are not functioning for the purpose they were meant for, some are already wasting, i believe the key needs of the people like access road, electrification, schools building and educational materials and primary health care centres and other should be provided.
He added that “Part of my plan is to empower younger ones, adults and women to be self sufficient, support them with cash and other means of economic empowerment that will enhance sustainability of their business and make use of their potentials for development “.
‘I also have plan to enhance Agric business which is the major occupation of the constituents, I will not only facilitate training on modern techniques in the sector but also support farmers with incentives and makes the sector more attractive and profitable’
Wolekanle as he is foundly called urged Nigerians to vote for PDP for a better change, It is obvious that Nigerians are not happy with the economic and security challenges that is bedeviling this nation under the present administration and the only party that can rescue the country from being plunge into extreme hardship is PDP, let us vote wisely.’
