Wolekanle Hosts Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Wasilat Adegoke in Ogbomoso

Chairman Ogbomoso United Football Club , Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole better known as Wolekanle on Saturday hosted Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon Wasilat Adegoke in Ogbomoso

The state commissioner who was on a tour of state owned clubs was in Ogbomoso on assessment of Crown Football Club.

Wolekanle who hosted the commissioner and her entourage at AA Luxury Suites in Ogbomoso also accompany her to watch a football match between Crown FC and Osun United which ended in 2.0 in favour of Crown FC

He described Miss Adegoke as an exceptionally passionate person about the development of sports and youth the well-being of youths in the state while expressing optimism that the team would continue enjoy more support from him as a diehard sport lover.

While commending and appreciating the diehard fans of Crown FC of Ogbomoso, for defying the first rainfall of the year in Ogbomoso to provide the needed moral support for the team, Hon. Adegoke appealed to them to sustain such high spirit even if the team was faced with challenges of securing necessary points to scale up on the log of the league table.

“Today’s match between our own Crown FC against the visiting Osun united was a good and impressive game. We thank God and I’m very excited that at the end of the game, Crown FC won convincingly and impressively.

” There’s still a lot to be done in terms of improvement but I’m excited to see how the management team and the coaching crew have improved on the team’s performance.

“His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde’s passion and commitment to youth and sports development has been exceptional and phenomenal and we want to as a ministry ensure that state government’s investments in the club is reciprocated with good and impressive results, that’s why we’re all here at the stadium to cheer the team to the well deserved victory.

“Those who watched this game can attest to how our players are consistently improving per game, I’m sure even Osun united didn’t expect what they met on ground in Ogbomoso so, I’m very impressed and urged them to keep improving and sustain the winning mentality for their subsequent games either on home soil or away match.” The commissioner said.

Earlier, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in and the Oyo North Senatorial Candidate of the party in the 2023 general election, Honourable Akinwale Akinwole also known as ‘Wolekanle’ hailed Crown FC for making the fans and the people of Ogbomoso proud.
