A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State Hon Akinwole Solomon Akinwale popularly known as Wolekanle has sponsored JAMB coaching for about 25O students in Ogbomoso.
Apart from the six weeks tutorial classes, Hon Wolekanle also procured UTME forms for 60 successful students who emerged from the exams conducted by coordinator.
The students who were given free writing materials both for lectures and exams had lessons in major subjects including Mathematics , English, Economics Physics Chemistry, Biology Government, Literature , CRS, Commerce and Accounts.
Speaking on the programme, Hon Wolekanle said this is the second year of assisting the students who are wiling to go to tertiary institutions with such gestures.
Asides the coaching for JAMB, I have been assisting many students in higher institutions and some to pay their WAEC and NECO Fees. The gesture is not politically motivated, its just a way of assisting the younger ones to achieve their life goals.
” The sixty (60) successful candidates will proceed for another free two(2) weeks of intensive CBT training ahead of the exams. I have graciously approved the extension of the tutorials,on request by the participants, to further keep them adequately prepared for the exams proper. By God’s grace, the programme will witness a facelift in terms of mode of operations and number of beneficiaries come next edition,”.
“So many people abandoned school because of money, and with this little assistance God has been using us to do for many , hope is restored and many have returned to school. I also initiated a scholarship scheme through which we reimburse people.
He however urged the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunities available to them and put in their best in ensuring that they come out in flying colours.
The beneficiaries whose appreciation holds no bound appreciated Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole for his philanthropic gestures and assured him of getting good grades in their exams.
