The abandoned Atiba Fm station building located at Bashorun area of Oyo  now looked unkempt and rough with grasses growing all over due to inability of  of the past administration to complete the project which was initiated about 4 years ago.

Apart from the weed, many residents are also afraid of passing through the area because of the fear by  that it could be a hiding place for criminals

Today the place has been taking over by weeds, reptiles and other dangerous animals.
It would be recalled that a lawmaker representing Oyo East/Oyo West state constituency, Hon. Muideen Olagunju lamented the slow phase of the  ongoing project  and others in Oyo and urged the governor Ajimobi led administration  to ensure  projects were completed in the interest of development and benefit of the people before the expiration of the tenure in May 2019
Influential indigenes who craved anonymity   in a chat with National Insight on Monday in berates the last administration, for its nonchalant attitude towards the project.
“I must confess that it is really disheartened and sad that the last administration which was that of Abiola Ajimobi, could not complete the radio station before the expiration of his 8 years tenure in office despite all the noise they made about it. When you make promises to the people God has put under you,you must back it up with action. The project kick-started 4years ago and the project could  not be completed its a shame and failure on their part.
“Oyo people deserve more than what we are getting. What does it take a state government to complete a sub-mini radio station in a town like these. It really beats my imagination that the last administration in the started this project, about 4years ago and could not complete it then something must be wrong.
” It was during the administration of Akala, that Ajilete FM,and Oke-Ogun FM came into existence.which are sister stations to the Oyo State Broadcasting Cooperation.
“The former governor of Oyo state Abiola Ajimobi should have completed the project and not abandon it half way.
He however  appeal to the present governor of the state in person of Engineer Seyi Makinde,to please complete the project and commission it,because Oyo town is in need of this radio station.
