The Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has expressed grief over the death of the State’s Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources, Rt. Hon. Kehinde Ayoola.
Ogundoyin in a Statement described the late Ayoola as a hardworking man with selfless personality, who always offer his time, expertise and resources when needed by anyone around him.
Ayoola who died on Thursday morning after brief illness was Speaker of the state House of Assembly in 1999 under Lam Adesina’s governorship and became the Commissioner for Environment following Governor Seyi Makinde’s inauguration in 2019.
He also served as the Director General for Seyi Makinde 2015 gubernatorial campaign and the Deputy Director General for the 2019 campaign.
According to Ogundoyin, the death of Ayoola came as a rude shock and he will be greatly missed as a committed and strategic member of the Governor Seyi Makinde’s Oyo developmental team.
He said, “My brother Barrister Ayoola was a great asset to us as a former lawmaker and speaker at the Oyo State House of Assembly and also as a serving member of Governor Makinde’s cabinet.
“You served the State well and love your people with all you had when you were alive. It is sadden death took you away, when the State need you more. May your rest in peace and God grant your family, political associates, and the entire State fortitude to bear this lost.”
