Wale Ojo Lanre Tasks RATTAWU Members on Professionalism

Director General, Ekiti state council for Arts and Culture Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre has charged members of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union RATTAWU on the need to be apply professional ethics in their conducts and discharge of duties.

Ojo lanre gave this urge while hosting RATTAWU , Ekiti State Chapter in his office at the state secretariat Ado Ekiti on Thursday

The Chief Cultural officer said they should avoid sensationalism and embrace developmental media practice so as to enhance development and peaceful society.

While commending the leadership of the union for coordinating and ensuring peace and stability in the Union, the chief Cultural Officer of the state said ” You are the backbone of every organization and i am always proud of you”

 

He however urge them to be more proactive and use their offices to promote government policies for the betterment of the society.

 

The state chairman Comrade Ayo Ayegbusi who led other state and Zonal executives to the council urge the government to enhance productivity in their members who are government workers through periodical training of regular payment of allowances and providing conducive working relationship for bring out the best in the members

He said we have been given our best and we are ready to put more efforts but we want government to do respond to our yearnings and by making our job easier and give us what we are due for .

They commended Governor Kayode Fayemi for appointing Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre as the Director General for council of Arts and Culture

Radio and Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union RATTAWU, Ekiti State Chapter has been called upon to shun aggressive engagement and employ development tactics while canvassing for the interest of their members.

 

The Director General, Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture ,made this called when he received the members of the EXCO of RATTAWU in his office recently
Ojo Lanre who described RATTAWU as the backbone of the broadcast media said that ” without thoroughbred members of RATTAWU ,the broadcast press will be prostrate and of low standard ‘

 

He called on the member to always embrace and seek for educational advancement and be proactive in their duty posts .

 

Ojo Lanre said ” i enjoined you all not to rest on your oars and not to sleep along the corridor of knowledge but stay alive and engage your self in different educational pursuits that can situate or position you perfectly fit for your posts at this digital age “.

 

He tasked them to brace up and embrace change or be swept aside by the high tide of contemporary digital wave
Ojo- Lanre commended the chairman of RATTAWU for his strategically dynamic leadership style which has turned the Association from an aggressive body into a responsible professional association which believes in purposeful and constructive engagement.

 

 

In his speech ,Comrade Ayo Ayegbusi who commended Governor Kayode Fayemi for appointing Ojo – Lanre as DG Arts and Culture said that ,his vision is to ensure and facilitate a rewarding welfare regime for his members not by banging tables or calling for protest and work to rule which are not necessary but to positively and constructively engage employers for positive results for his members.

He urged the government to stoke productivity in their members who are government workers through periodical training , regular payment of allowances and providing conducive working relationship capable to bring out the best in the members .

 

Ojo Lanre also commended the Union for their professional conduct and attitude towards their Jobs in their respective working places.

 

He said ” You are the potent agent of communication and back bone of the the organization and we cannot turn down your request which i am sure would enhance effectiveness.”

 

While assuring them of the Council’s support, Ojo lanre urged them to continue to work in accordance with the transformational policy of Dr Kayode Fayemi led administration .
