The United States Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 to Friday, December 26, 2025.
According to the embassy, normal work operations will resume on Monday, December 29, 2025.
The temporary closure is in observance of the Christmas holiday. However, emergency services for U.S. citizens may still be available during the period.
Members of the public with scheduled appointments or official business have been advised to plan accordingly.
