Richard Olorunrokan Adekola, popularly known as King Rokan, a prominent U.S.-based Juju singer, has died.
The Nigerian-American musician, who lived in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on the morning of Monday, January 13, 2025.
Though the cause of his death remains unknown, news of his passing has plunged fans and the music community into mourning both in Nigeria and abroad.
King Rokan, known for his rich contributions to Juju music, was also the CEO of the Rokan Adekola Foundation. He released several albums, including the popular “Oba Ti De” and “Ilara,” which earned him recognition in the industry.
He is survived by his wife and children.
