President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the allocation of 3-bedroom houses to the 1994 African Cup of Nations-winning Super Eagles Team (Tunisia ‘94)
The squad under coach Clemens Westerhof who lead them to the competition includes: Mutiu Adepoju,Jay Jay Okocha,Thompson Oliha,Sunday Olishe, Danie Amokachi,
Emmanue Amunike,Stephen Keshi,Austin Eguavon,Finidi George,
Rashidi Yekini,Victor Ikpeba,Samson Siasia,Uche Okechuchukwu,
Uche Okafor,Chidi Nwanu,Winfed Agbobavbare,Michael Emenalo, Alloysoius Agu and Peter Rufai
They won their second ever Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) title in Tunisia after coming from a goal down to defeat the Chipolopolo of Zambia 2-1.
President Buhari on Thursday evenin said “I am pleased to announce that I have approved the allocation of 3-bedroom houses to the 1994 African Cup of Nations-winning Super Eagles Team (Tunisia ‘94)!
He said it is another historical promise fulfilled by our administration.
“These heroes did our nation proud, and the least we can do is honour the Federal Government’s promise to them.
He added that they will be allocated the houses in their States of preference.
