A female student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Temilade Deborah Adekunle, lost her life in a fatal accident involving a truck on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

The incident occurred around 10:26 a.m. in front of Sayedero Market, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The 18-year-old, a National Diploma (ND I) student of the Banking and Finance Department, was reportedly trying to maneuver her way  a truck with Lagos registration number AAA 640 XX hitted her

Preliminary findings suggest the accident was caused by a brake failure on the part of the truck, leading to the fatal accident

The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the State Hospital morgue in Ilaro. Authorities have since restored normalcy to the area.

    How can you say a human being ran into a truck? fear God na. Also the victim is just 18 and not 28. People keep dying on that road every year yet the government does nothing about it. A failed country
