In a heartbreaking development, Sharon Amaka Ogochukwu Emeh (née Osuji), a 33-year-old woman, will be laid to rest on what was to be her wedding day.
Amaka tragically passed away recently months after her traditional marriage to Chinedu Daniel Emeh, which took place on January 4, 2024.
The National Open University of Nigeria graduate succumbed to a brief illness, leaving her family and community in mourning.
According to the funeral arrangements released by her family, Amaka’s burial is scheduled for October 19, the same date originally chosen for her wedding.
The ceremony was set to take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iba Pope, Awada, Onitsha, Anambra State.
