’President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on the occasion of his 84th birthday.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed with the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the President described Pastor Adeboye as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts” and a spiritual pillar who continues to intercede for Nigeria and its people.
Tinubu praised the cleric’s humility and depth of wisdom, noting that his contributions to national development extend beyond the pulpit to philanthropy, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
“As he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026, we celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon his life,” the President stated, referring to the revered cleric fondly known as Daddy G.O.
The President and First Lady congratulated Pastor Adeboye and joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG and the wider Body of Christ in expressing gratitude to God for what they described as an exceptional life of impact that transcends cultures and borders.
They commended the renowned clergyman for his unceasing prayers for Nigeria and his patriotic zeal, determination and commitment to the nation’s progress.
Tinubu also acknowledged Pastor Adeboye’s unique leadership role over the past five decades, noting that his teachings have continued to shape and transform lives across generations within Nigeria and beyond.
Praying for continued strength and good health for the octogenarian, the President wished him many more years of impactful service in the Lord’s vineyard.
