There is palpable fear and tension in Sepeteri, a community in Oke Ogun, Saki East Local Government Area of Oyo state as Bandits attack local vigilantes inside the forest reserve.
The reserve is part of the Old Oyo National Park.
According to a credible source, one person was killed and two people were abducted by the bandits few days ago.
It was also gathered that of the victims who who managed to escaped informed the leaders of the community about the presence of the bandits inside the tick forest.
A source at the community who confirmed the incident to National Insight said the local vigilantes in the community swung into action yesterday by combing the forest and they were repelled by the bandits who engaged them in gun duel even some of the vigilantes sustained injuries and have been taking to hospital in Igboho for medical attention
As at the time of filling this report, local security are collaborating with the government Security Agencies in sanitizing the area and rescue other kidnapped victims.
Recalled that about five people were killed in Iwere Ile few weeks ago and another one was killed in Otu during the farmers herders clash.
