It was a moment of grief and wailing in Ilaramokin Ondo state as the remains of late commissioner for Health Dr Wahab Adegbenro was laid to rest.
The burial site was crowded by family members,friends and political associates and many did not observe covid-19 guidelines.
He was buried according to islamic rite.
Adegbenro , aged 65 died yesterday of covid-19 infection.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has described his late Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro, as a reliable colleague and compatriot.
Akeredolu made on his official Twitter handle, @RotimiAkeredolu said Adegbenro’s calmness and dedication towards caring for everybody made him loved by all.
“Dr Wahab Adegbenro, my Honourable Commissioner for Health, was a reliable colleague and compatriot.
“His calmness and dedication towards caring for everybody were loved by all. He will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family,” Akeredolu said.
Ondo State Government had earlier today directed flags raised at half-mast for seven days to mourn Adegbenro.
