Suspected Cultists Murdered Ibadan Poly Student in Apete

The Polytechnic Ibadan was like a ghost town today following the  the student forum  apete  ibadan to register their displeasure over the killing of a student.

it took the intervention of security operatives to prevents breakdown of law and order as the sango-eleyele road was blocked by the angry students

A member of Apete youth forum simply identified Ahmed olalekan was murdered on Monday evening at Fanawole area by suspected cultists.

It was gathered that some members of the the student  Forum apete  earlier in the morning invaded the school premises to protest the killing of one of them

Ahmed an ND Holder in Urban and regional studied of the Polytechnic Ibadan has since been buried.

The victim, popularly known as Maku, was a former Assistant Chief Security Officer of The Polytechnic Ibadan Students’ Forum.

When our reporter visited the premise of the institution only few students were on campus while virtually all the  lecture halls were empty.

The school security were on patrol and some stays at strategic location to prevent further breakdown of law an order.

Offices were opened but few members of staff were also around  and none was willing to talk about the incident.

A member of the forum who spoke under anonymity told our reporter that the cause of the killing is still a mystery to them as the victim is not a violent person.

“Ahmed is a humble and respectful person, he doesn’t cause trouble so what led to his killing is still like a mystery.”
