The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) has congratulated Major General J.G.K. Myam on his appointment as the Director General of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Secretary General of the Society, Dr. Olanrewaju L. Yusuf, SPSP described Major General Myam’s elevation as a well-deserved recognition of his distinguished service, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to peace, national security, and development.
Dr. Yusuf noted that Major General Myam, a respected fellow of the SPSP, has over the years demonstrated exceptional leadership and intellectual depth in both military and peacebuilding engagements, contributing significantly to the advancement of strategic knowledge and research within and outside the Armed Forces.
“The appointment is a clear acknowledgment of Major General Myam’s outstanding record of service and commitment to promoting peace and national development,” the statement read.
The Society further expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Nigerian Army Resource Centre would continue to strengthen its mandate in research, training, and policy formulation geared towards enhancing peace and security in the country.
SPSP also reiterated its readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in areas of mutual interest, including research, strategic capacity development, and peace education.
While wishing Major General Myam continued success, the Society commended his dedication to the ideals of professionalism and peaceful engagement that reflect the values upheld by SPSP.
