The Socialist Party of Nigeria (SPN), Oyo State chapter on Tuesday challenged the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to declare how much he receives as security vote.

SPN says knowing what the governor earns as Security vote will show the Governor’s seriousness to engender transparency and accountability in government.

Speaking at a press briefing through its State Secretary,Ayodeji Adigun SPN says the Governor should remove the veil covering Security votes in Nigeria and submit it for proper democratic management and control.

Reviewing the reported achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde within his first hundred days SPN condemned outsourcing of free books purchase rather than empowering State Printing Press to guarantee sustainable supply of books and employment.
