Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi will on 27th May honoured eminent personalities from Ogbomoso with prestigious chieftaincy titles.
National Insight exclusively gathered that those to be honoured includes Retired Air Vice Marshal AVM Adigun, Engineer Open Salawu, Ambassador Akin Oyateru, Senator Ayoade Adeseun former miliary Governor of Oyo state Gen Oladayo Popoola, Mr Samson Adegoke and Mrs Rachel Onaolapo Phillips and Mr Femi Onireti.
As at the time of filling this report, it was gathered that Air Vice Marshall JB Adigun (retd) will be honoured as Akogun of Ogbomoso, Ambassador Oyateru, Gbobaniyi of Ogbomoso and Engineer Open Salawu, Babalaje Of Ogbomoso. Senator Ayoade Adeseun will be honoured as Mayegun of Ogbomos While Mrs Rachael Onaolapo Phillips is Majeobaje Iyalode of Ogbomoso.
A source at the palace informed National Insight thier selection was based on their role and contributions to the development of Ogbomosoland, Oyo state and the country at large.
The coronation is scheduled to hold on the 95th birthday of Oba Oladunni Oyewumi on 27th May 2021 at the Palace Ogbomoso
