The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

The meeting, held in Ibadan, was described as more than a royal engagement, but a historic encounter deeply rooted in tradition, mutual respect, and shared aspirations for the future.
According to Oba Olaoye, the discussions between the two monarchs were warm and meaningful, touching on unity, progress, and the collective destiny of the Yoruba people.

He noted that the visit was a moment of joy and fulfillment for him, as it reaffirmed the long-standing bond between Ibadan and Ogbomoso.
“May this bond of friendship and collaboration continue to grow stronger, for in our unity lies the path to greater peace, prosperity, and flourishing for generations to come,” the Soun said.
The meeting between the Olubadan and the Soun is seen as a significant step in strengthening ties between the two prominent Yoruba cities.
