Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan fast, adding that the acts of selflessness, patience, tolerance and alms giving as demonstrated in the holy month should be sustained.

He noted that politicians have vital roles to play in promoting peaceful co-existence among all ethnic groups in the country.‎

According to the monarch, for Nigeria to take its rightful place in the comity of nations, there is no alternative to good governance.

He called on leaders at all levels of government to serve the people with passion and fear of God, adding that the people’s welfare should be a top priority at all times.

“Let us use this special season of Sallah to reflect on our lives for the purpose of spiritual rebirth.
“We should embrace peace and unity in our daily pursuits regardless of the heterogeneous nature of Nigeria.
“I appeal to Nigerians irrespective of tribal, religious and political differences to continue to live as one big family as the indivisibility of Nigeria is not negotiable.
“The traditional ruler while wishing the Muslim community a hitch free and rewarding celebration, charged Nigerians to remain law abiding and patriotic.
