Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation donates 1,500 face masks to Kebbi State Government

As part of the ongoing efforts to curtail the spread of Corona Virus pandemic, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Kaduna has donated 1,500 face masks to Kebbi State Government.

The presentation was made on Monday at Government House, Birnin Kebbi by the representative of the foundation in Kebbi, Architect Muhammad Lawal, to the Chairman State Task Force on Covid -19, Jafar Muhammad (Clean).

Lawal said the donation of One Thousand Five Hundred (1,500) face masks by the foundation was to support the Kebbi State Government in its dogged fight against the the Coronavirus (Covid -19) pandemic.

He said ” As part of our contribution towards the fight against the deadly Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic, the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation is donating One Thousand Five Hundred (1,500) Face Masks to support the efforts of the Kebbi State Government “.

He further stated that the foundation was also extending the same gesture of donating 1,500 face masks to all the nineteen (19) states in the north and the FCT, in addition to the public awareness campaigns in the form of TV and Radio jingles which are being aired in TV, Radio and Social Media.

Lawal assured the continued support of the foundation to Kebbi State Government in its laudable efforts towards curtailing the spread of the Corona Virus disease.

Responding on behalf of the Kebbi State Government, the state Chairman of the Task Force on Covid 19 who is also the Commissioner of Health, Jafar Muhammed (Clean) thanked the foundation for donating the face masks.

He said the donation was timely in view of the current campaign for compulsory use of face masks in public places in order to curtail the spread of Corona Virus pandemic.

” The face masks will go a long way in helping to curtail the spread of Covid-19 in the state, this face masks is reusable mask, that is the advantage, you can use it again ‘, he said.

The Chief of Staff, Alhaji Suleman Muhammad Argungu (Jarman Kabi), the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Babale Umar, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Garba Rabiu Kamba, members of the Task Force on Covid -19 were among the important people at the event.
