The gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Oyo state has expressed sadness at the demise of the Iyalode of Ibadanland, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun.

In a statement from his campaign organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the PDP Flagbearer said that while alive, she deployed her charisma, wealth, Courage and personality to enhance the socio/ cultural quality of Ibadan land and upheld the long held tradition of a people known for their liberal coexistence with others who reside in the sprawling land of opportunities.

Makinde said that the Iyalode will be sorely missed at a period like this when our people are poised to take crucial decisions that will affect the political landscape of Oyo state.

He condoled with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olubadan in council of which the deceased was a member, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes and the entire people of the great city and pray that May God give the family fortitude to bear the loss
