In a landmark development in political representation, Senator Yunus Akintunde has appointed twelve new Special Assistants across the eleven local governments in Oyo Central Senatorial District.

The announcement was conveyed through Senator Akintunde’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Kunle Olatunji, who noted that the appointments will further strengthen the Senator’s grassroots engagement and broaden the reach of his legislative activities.

The newly appointed aides, drawn from among former councillors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the district, were formally received and presented with their letters of appointment at a brief ceremony.

The lawmaker also highlighted his recent facilitation of employment opportunities for twenty-five constituents of Oyo Central Senatorial District in various Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Beneficiaries were engaged in institutions such as the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Inland Revenue Service (now National Revenue Service), and the Federal Fire Service.

According to the Senator, these initiatives, which cut across all local governments in the district, are part of his broader commitment to empowerment and sustainable human capacity development.

“These appointments and employment opportunities are part of my promise to touch lives in meaningful ways. Those who have secured civil service positions will continue to build their careers, and I am grateful to Almighty God for using me as a vessel to serve humanity,” Senator Akintunde said.

He further assured constituents that more developmental initiatives and empowerment programmes will be rolled out in the months ahead, as part of his continuous drive to “do more” in fulfillment of his campaign promises.
