In a major boost to educational development in Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba Umar has sponsored seven undergraduate students to pursue their studies at Sanskaram University, India.
The beneficiaries, selected across the seven local government areas of Bauchi South, are Sa’adatu Muhammad (Alkaleri LGA), Abdullahi Hussaini Baba (Bauchi LGA), Anummi Andrew (Bogoro LGA), Sabitu Shitu Mu’azu (Dass LGA), Abubakar Baffaji (Kirfi LGA), Lubabatu Abdullahi (Tafawa Balewa LGA), and Zunnuraini Yusuf (Toro LGA).
At a send-off ceremony held in his office, Senator Umar urged the students to remain committed and resilient in their studies, emphasizing that the knowledge they acquire should be used to uplift their families, communities, and the broader Bauchi State upon their return.
“As you embark on this journey, remember that you are not just representing yourselves but the future of Bauchi South. Excel and come back to contribute meaningfully to your communities,” Senator Umar told the students.
In addition to covering their tuition, Senator Umar presented each student with $1,000 to help with their initial expenses abroad — a gesture aimed at easing their transition and reinforcing his commitment to their academic success.
