Oba Lekan Balogun has  confirmed the release of the twins by the abductors
He said that he  was yet to sight them, but had heard their voice and was happy that they were released unhurt.
The monarch disclosed that his wife and the mother of the twins, Mrs. Funmilayo Balogun had gone to Lagos to monitor the medical check-up of the twins and bring them back to Ibadan.
He maintained that the on-the-spot assessment by his wife reinforced his belief and conviction that the children were released unhurt and they could have possibly reunited with the rest members of the family today (yesterday) but for the results of some of the tests carried out on the twins being awaited.
The monarch confirmed the payment of N10m ransom before the release of the children and said the money paid was nothing compared to the joy of the safe return of his kids.
In a telephone interview with the mother of the twins (Mrs.Balogun), she corroborated the report given by her husband and disclosed that she could not vividly describe her state of mind on sighting the children seven days after they were abducted.
“To say that I was happy and I’m still happy now is an understatement and I can’t be thankful enough to God Almighty for protecting my children during the period just as I thank everybody involved in the release”, the mother of the twins added.
She expressed optimism that the medical report being awaited would be favourable and promised that they would come back to Ibadan as soon as possible.
