In a bid to to further strengthen the effectiveness of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital LAUTECH Ogbomoso, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai has supported the hospital with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth millions of Naira.
Senator Buhari, Chairman Senate Committee on Land Transport is representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber and an All Progressives Congress APC Chieftains donated 100 Units of Disposable Overall Gowns,18 packs of Face Masks
5 cartoons of Hand Gloves,10 cartoons of Sanitol Hand Wash, 5 Cartoons of 500ML Hand Sanitizers, 14 Units of Protective Goggles and other materials.
Presenting the items to the management of the hospital, Senator Buhari who was represented by Hon Abiodun Adeyemo said ” The development is part of Senator Abdulfatai’s effort to strengthen your response activities and support your facility towards curtailing/containing and managing Covid- 19 pandemic in your facility”.
“It is our hope that this token will help your facility in discharging its duty for the people of Ogbomoso, Oyo North and Oyo state at large.Please accept the assurances of the Distinguished Senator’s warmest regards” He concluded .
The Management of the hospital led by the Chief Medical Director CMD Prof George Opadijo while reacting to the donation said the donation is timely and laudable.
” Senator Buhari apart from been a son of the soil, he is a friend of this teaching hospital. His hand is everywhere in his constituency and we are happy that we are not left out in his humanitarian and developmental strides in Oyo North, we pray that God will continue to bless him ‘ Opadijo concluded
Prof. Opadijo who was represented by the CMAC Dr Oniginde and Mr Ademola Ajiferuke the hospital Director of administration however cealled on Nigerians, especially people from Oyo state to support the teaching hospital in its bid to become one of the best state Teaching Hospital in Nigeria.
