A member of the National Assembly representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Kola Balogun has lamented the state of infrastructural and socioeconomic deficit in the country but urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and “keep hope alive”.
Senator Kola Balogun who was a special guest of the Al-Madrasatul Mural Islam (Kwankwasiya Islamiyyat), Sabo, Ibadan, Oyo State on the occasion of a fundraising for a school project emphasised the need for unity and inter-ethnic relationship among Nigerians
“We should keep hope alive in spite of all the challenges we are having in the areas of security, economic and other spheres of life.  Let’s continue to be prayerful so that this country will remain united. And God will answer our prayers.  He will raise those that will tackle the problems we have and people will continue to have access to dividends of democracy,” he said.
Dr. Balogun expressed the hope that once the authorities close the identified gaps of social and infrastructural deficits, Nigerians will have access to industrial development while small and medium enterprises will blossom across the nation.
While describing as “natural” the existing cordial relationship between Oyo State and Kano State, Balogun remarked that both states have peculiarities in several ways notably big size, commercial viability, high population and big land mass.
To this end, he said, the two states hold the ace for commercial and economic advancement of Nigeria.
“We should therefore use our natural relationship to continue to support ourselves and keep hope alive,” Senator Balogun submitted.
