Senator Yunus Akintunde the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly has joined in the felicitations of Nigerian workers as they celebrate May Day the Workers Day which over the years has become a global celebration of dignity of labour among workers all over the world.
In a release made available by Kunle Olatunji the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Akintunde, he particularly identified with the resilient approach of Nigerians especially the working class in the various sectors of the economy while assuring them that the days ahead hold tremendous hope and with the benefits of hindsight as a critical stakeholder, that the present administration under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to the improved welfare of workers and the citizens in general.
“I sincerely join the leadership of the Nation at all levels to appreciate the commitment and resilient approach of Nigerian workers within the global community while celebrating the Workers Day, despite the various challenges and tough global economic situation not peculiar to Nigeria alone, Nigerians and especially the workers have demonstrated uncommon steadfastness and support in the midst of government efforts to stabilize the economy”.
