Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that the crescent moon of Shawwal has been sighted, marking the end of Ramadan. As a result, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The announcement was made via Haramain’s official Facebook page, a recognized platform for the global Muslim community.
“The crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025,” the statement read.
Eid al-Fitr, which signifies the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, is observed by Muslims worldwide with prayers, feasting, and acts of charity.
