The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a central figure in Nigeria’s democratic evolution and progressive politics.
In a press statement, Sanusi lauded Tinubu as a “battle-tested democrat, master strategist, and nation-builder,” whose leadership, he said, continues to shape the country’s political and economic direction.
He noted that Tinubu’s style of governance reflects “courage under pressure, vision in times of uncertainty, and decisive action,” adding that history would rank him among Nigeria’s most consequential leaders.
“Today, we do not only celebrate the birth of a man; we celebrate the rise of a political institution, a symbol of resilience, and a leader whose impact has redefined governance and leadership in Nigeria,” Sanusi said.
The Ibadan-born political mobiliser used the occasion to call for intensified grassroots support for the President’s second-term ambition in 2027, particularly across the South-West. He described Tinubu’s re-election as “a national necessity” needed to consolidate ongoing reforms, stabilise governance, and secure the country’s future.
Sanusi also pledged to deploy his political structure and network to mobilise support for the President across Oyo State and beyond, stressing the importance of continuity in leadership.
According to him, “Nigeria cannot afford a reversal of progress,” noting that sustaining current reforms and strengthening institutions require stable and experienced leadership.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to building alliances and galvanising stakeholders toward delivering victory for Tinubu in the next general election.
Sanusi urged Nigerians to support the President with prayers and unity, emphasising that the task of building a more prosperous nation must continue without interruption.
