The Family of Late Chief, (Hon.) Samuel Ladoke Akintola has assured the management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso for cordial relationship and support in all ramifications.
This was disclosed by the coordinator, Ladoke Akintola Memorial Foundation, Mr. Yemi Adedokun while speaking on the courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Michael Ologunde.
Adedokun who led other members of the foundation including Hon. Sola Kolawole, Remi Oladoye, Barr. Balogun, Azeez Sharafadeen, Barr. Olatunbosun and others said the family is ready to support LAUTECH in its bid to be a centre of academic excellence.
He also hinted that arrangements are underway to host a befitting 55 years remembrance anniversary and a lecture in honour of the Late Sage in Ogbomoso on 15th January, 2021.
While seeking for corporation of the LAUTECH’s management for the success of the events Adedokun maintained that the foundation is also working to further immortalize the Late Sage.
In his remark, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ologunde said the development is in line with his thought about Late Samuel Ladoke Akintola whom during his life time was a great man and astute politician.
Ologunde commended the family for the steps taking so far and urge them to do more in projecting the name of Akintola.
While appreciating the family for the gesture, the Professor of Food Chemistry said the school will also contribute their own quota to the success of subsequent event that will be organized in honour of the late politician.
At the ceremony was the donations of Nose Masks, Hand Sanitizers, Books to the institution library on behalf of Chief Ambassador Yomi Akintola and Dr. Abimbola Akintola.
