Former Deputy Governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Sunday called on Nigerians to promote love, oneness and unity.

Senator Omisore made the call while felicitating with Muslims across the country on the successful completion of this year’s annual Ramadan fasting.

The former Deputy Governor emphasized the need for Nigerians at this particular period to be more committed to the peace and stability of the country.

“In this season, let us promote love, oneness and unity among ourselves as Nigerians and citizens of Osun State and extend the lessons of Ramadan beyond the holy month” he said.

Senator Omisore added that in doing this, there is the need for every Nigerian regardless of their tribe and religion to steer clear of acts or utterances  capable
of tearing the country apart.

The former deputy governor however congratulated Muslims across the country and Osun state in particular for successfully completed the 2017 Ramadan fasting.

He also tasked the Muslim faithful to continue praying for Nigeria as a country for it to overcome the numerous challenges facing it as well as committed those at the helm of affairs to lead the country aright.
