Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman House of Reps Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values has called for more sacrifice and prayers for Nigeria as the muslim faithful celebrates Eid El Kabir

The federal lawmaker representing Ogo Oluwa/ Surulere Federal constituency at the National Assembly said this while felicitating with adherence of islam on the festival

Odebunmi said rebuilding Nigeria is everybody’s responsibility and we must all strive hard, work together to take Nigeria to a greater height and a Nation of our dream where there is peace and harmony.

” Islam is a religion of peace, and one of the means through which sustainable peace can be achieved in Nigeria is through self discipline and sacrifice as enunciated by prophet Muhammad SAW, so therefore i want to urge us to embrace peace and work towards enduring progress of our. nation.

The All Progressives Congress APC lawmaker harps on the need for all Nigerians irrespective of the ethnic identity to always see Nigerian as one and do away with anything that may threaten the peaceful coexistence of our local communities and the country at large.

He however urged muslim faithful to always remember the country, President Muhammadu Buhari and other key officers in government in their prayers.
