A budding political juggernaut, Alhaji Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen has disclosed that his foray into politics and his desire to run for senate in the 2019 general elections was for youths empowerment, saying it was one of the core elements of national development.

He said this while speaking with journalists in Ibadan on his ambition to vie for a seat in the Red Chamber, to represent Oyo Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Party (APC).

According to him, if the young people were empowered, they would not be easily carried away by politicians who use money to obtain state power.

He noted that young people are the backbone of every political society and as such they should be catered to.

He, however, urged Nigerian youths to keep focused on their education despite unpleasant situations in the country, adding that the variables that characterised Nigeria’s past elections have phased off and youths have positioned themselves to make informed decisions.

Alh. Nurudeen said he was particularly pleased to be part of the occurring transformation within the country’s political structure, saying that: “Rhetoric and false promises can no longer be used to win over people during electoral seasons.”

“It is time to start image building, integrity repositioning and advocacy for young generation to be giving proper attention. The young people of this country are the best in Africa. They are full of talents and highly cultured.”

“We just need to start a system where every Nigerian youth will be valued again, we must all come together to reposition the country for better service delivery.”

“We need youths with creativity and foresight. We will allow the leaders and critical stakeholders to suggest and carry youths along in the day to day running of the country.”

“I shall make laws that will restore the values of youths. I will rely on the experience of the leaders and share views with them before taking decisions. I will defend the interest of the Nigeria youths at all times,” he said.

The senatorial aspirant opined that

when youths are idle they become susceptible to perpetuate crimes and commit all sort of atrocities, this according to him, informed his decision  to intensify and widen the scope of his political philosophy.

He appealed to youths who are still perpetuating crimes to desist from such, while urging them to give him there mandate in the forthcoming elections.

Born 35 years ago at Ile Onilada Pakoyi/Idode in the ancient Oyo town, Alh. Nurudeen who had his education in both in Nigeria and United Kingdom, is an electrical engineering expert and a professional tecnopreneour with over ten years high level management experience in telecommunications.
