Residents of Communities in Ibadan Reject IBDEC Over Poor Electricity Supply

Residents and Landlords of Apete, Ajibode, Awotan , Akufo and environs have told the Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company PLC IBDEC to stay off the area as their services is no longer needed

The community said their decision is born out of IBDEC’s body language and nonchalant attitude and deliberate act to be ripen off the people which they have been complaining of for some times now

According to the letter signed by members of the Central Committee including Engr. Rasak Fabayo
President, Ademuyiwa Oluwole
Secretary and Alhaji Ajadi Oladeji
Tresurer the Community maintained that IBDEC lack the capacity to manage both the staffand the product they are selling

“May we shock you a little.
Your organisation gave a bill of over N100,000:00 (One Hundred Thousand
to a house that has not been electrified. Sir, how those this sound?. Also issuing of bills with a value well
over N5,000:00/N10,000:00 in a month when power supply is less than an hour most days of the month.

“Therefore, in view of the above all of us in the above communities are pleased to tell you that we are tired of your incompetence and insincerity. By this we are no more interested in the service of your organisation known as IBEDC.
