Addressing a packed audience of grassroots mobilizers, stakeholders, and invited guests, Hon Oseni declared the beginning of a new era of transformative leadership in the state and Nigeria at large.
He described ROCOF not just as an organization, but as a movement fueled by passion, friendship, and a commitment to justice, equity, and good governance.
“This gathering signifies not just the commencement of a journey, but the birth of a movement—a movement inspired by hope and powered by our collective commitment to a better Oyo State and Nigeria,” Oseni said.
Dr. Oseni clarified that ROCOF is a non-political, non-religious, and non-ethnic platform open to all individuals with a shared vision of positive change. He then unveiled the ROCOF Eight-Point Actionable Agenda aimed at reshaping the socio-political and economic future of the state and the nation.
Highlights of ROCOF’s 8-Point Agenda:
Delivering Oyo State for President Tinubu in 2027: ROCOF pledged total support for President Bola Tinubu’s second term, commending his reforms and promising to rally grassroots backing through education and advocacy.
Restoring APC Leadership in Oyo State: Emphasizing political alignment with the federal government, Oseni called for unity in restoring the APC to power in Oyo State in the 2027 elections, warning against a repeat of past electoral missteps.
Empowering Members for Elective Positions: Oseni charged ROCOF members to emerge as candidates for public office, stressing the need for a new generation of leaders rooted in integrity, innovation, and inclusiveness.
Liberating Imprisoned Politicians and Expanding Opportunities: The group vowed to fight for justice and inclusion, especially for imprisoned politicians and marginalized groups including women and youth.
Promoting Youth Empowerment: A key pillar of the agenda includes initiatives for skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and education for young Nigerians, positioning them as catalysts for future growth.
Supporting Market Men and Women: ROCOF plans to roll out support programs for traders and entrepreneurs through micro-financing, training, and advocacy for fair economic practices.
Oseni reminded the audience that while ROCOF is not a political party, it recognizes the importance of political platforms in governance, hence its strategic alignment with the APC to drive sustainable development.
“We are not merely creating an organization; we are fostering a movement. ROCOF is a divine mission and a family of change agents who will inspire hope and deliver the Nigeria and Oyo State of our dreams,” he declared.
He urged ROCOF leaders at the ward and local government levels to take the message to every corner of Oyo State, recruit more members, and prepare for active engagement in political, social, and economic reformation.
The event ended on a high note as Oseni encouraged leaders to share ideas and embrace the urgency of their mission, assuring them of his unwavering support and commitment.
“Together, we rise. Together, we build. Together, we will redefine leadership in Oyo State and Nigeria for generations to come,” he concluded.
The 1st ROCOF Leadership Assembly sets the stage for a year of strategic grassroots mobilization, with the group positioning itself as a major influencer in Oyo State’s political and developmental future
