The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has described the emergence of the state Deputy governor, Professor Kolapo Olusola, as the standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the July 14 election as the best bet for the state.
Oluwawole, in a congratulatory message signed by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, said the development was worthy of celebration and praises to God for all citizens of the state.
The Speaker said the zeal with which the professor served the state in the last three years and above, coupled with his firm grip of nuances of governance qualified him eminently to occupy the office of Governor.
He congratulated Governor Ayodele Fayose and all the rank and file of the Osoko Mass Movement (OMM) for combing the nooks and crannies of the state to garner support for the PDP candidate and making his outing a success.
He said; “the more reason this calls for celebration is that it is, in the long run, in the interest of Ekiti people. We have very strong conviction that this is the plan of God for Ekiti and her people.
“Professor Olusola is not only a workaholic and astute manager of people and resources, but also a person who has mastered the nuances of good governance very well under the tutelage of Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose.
“Ekiti people will be surprised how he is going to consolidate on the developmental stride of Governor Fayose when he becomes the governor.”
Oluwawole charged the people of the state “not to rest on their oars, as we still have the duty of voting in this compassionate leader on July 14 in the governorship election,” while calling on other contestants for the ticket to work together for the success of the PDP.
