President Muhammadu Buhari, South West Group of Online Publishers SWEGOP, Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja , Alhaji Ademola Oyepeju and others commiserate with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his entire family over the passing of their mother, Mrs Abigail Makinde.
The President sends condolences to friends, family and associates of the matriarch, whose testimony of love and kind heartedness continues to be shared, particularly her warmth to the poor and less privileged.
President Buhari urges friends and family members to find solace in the good works of the governor’s mother, who invested heavily in fear of God, love and hard work, and ensured her children and grandchildren followed same training of diligence, discipline and charity.
The President prays the Almighty God will receive the soul of the departed, and comfort the family.
Also, the Southwest Group of Online Publishers (SWEGOP) In a statement by its Chairman, Mr Olayinka Agboola and Public Relations Officer Mr Remi Oladoye, SWEGOP said that the deceased surely lived a fulfilled life and contributed greatly to the development of Oyo State by raising great children among whom is the current governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
The group pointed out that the children Mama raised confirmed that she lived a good life and contributed to the good of the society.
SWEGOP prayed God to comfort the governor and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
It also condoled the government and good people of Oyo State over Mrs Makinde’s demise and urged them to take solace in the fact that she lived well.
SWEGOP is the group of online media publishers operating in five Nigerian Southwest states of Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun and Ekiti states.
The former deputy governor of Oyo state also a chieftain in Oyo ruling party PDP , Amb Taofeeq Oladejo Arapaja in a press statement signed by his Media and publicity assistant Bamitale Ibrahim and made available to newsmen, “commiserates with Engn. Oluseyi Makinde the executive governor of Oyo state over mother’s death”
Arapaja said “It’s always painful to lose one’s relative most especially one’s mother irrespective of their age. On this note, I want to condole the Governor and the entire Makinde family to take the loss of Mama as an act of God. I pray that may the creator of universe keep standing with the family after demise of Mama.”
Alhaji Ademola Oyepeju, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC while commiserating with Gov Makinde and his family said ” Mama”s legacy and moral uprightness should be sustained.
” Its a great loss not only to the family but the entire Oyo state and we pray that God will console and comfort the family and grant her eternal rest
Crown Football Club Of Ogbomoso has sympathised with the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, who lost her mother in the early morning of Thursday 15th, October, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
The Acting General Manager of the club, Mr Oyeleye Oyekunle, who spoke on behalf of the team, described as sad and very painful the death of the governor’s mother, Mrs Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde.
” On behalf on the Ajilete Warriors FC, I register my condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Oyo State people over the demise of His Excellency’s mother.
” It is a great loss to the family and a bitter pill to swallow at a time the matriarch ought to be really enjoying the fruits of her selfless labour. Our governor will surely miss her motherly roles”.
The former administrative officer, urged the governor and family to take heart and pray for God’s sustainance on the family.
“I pray that the presence of God will continue to be with the governor and also grant the family the grace to bear this irredeemable loss”,Oyeleye sympathised.
